Kydd Jones keeps up his blistering pace this summer with his new record "Checks." The song boasts an appearance from 78724 Next Gang with The Teeta providing the second verse on the track. With new Austin resident Insightful contributing a dope art piece for the cover, it's clear that Kydd is trying to set himself apart from other rappers around the country with his creative vision and consistency. It will be interesting to see what comes next for the native Austinite.

To nobody's surprise, Kydd Jones is setting Austin on fire with pointed meditations on society's failing's of its citizens. Case in point with his newest joint, "Rubber Bullets," a collaboration between him and fellow Austin-based emcee/producers Wiardon and Ben Buck. You knew Kydd Jones and Tank Washington were going to say something about what's been going on in the country (and around the world) these last few weeks. Kydd originally dropped "Goblin" a few weeks ago, but now has released it on digitally distribution. The song has gotten heavy publicity recently, with mentions in almost every major Austin-area publication. But he wasn't content with just his song! He also produced his brother Tank's new song, "I Can't Breathe." The song is just as heavy as it sounds, with Tank basically unloading with righteous anger on the state of white supremacy that is the USA.

Today on Bandcamp, Bandcamp is donating it's revenue share fees to the NAACP to support them on Juneteenth, so we're posting the Bandcamp links but the songs are up on Spotify as well! Make sure to follow Kydd Jones and Tank Washington as they continue their rise as Texas hip-hop legends.
